Open from May to October, the Hameau swimming pool is a big open-air pool (300 m² and 25m long), using spring water. It faces south-west and is lined with majestic cypress trees. Swimsuits and swimming trunks must be worn all through the year.
Our boutique “A la Belle Etoile” is overflowing with treasures … books connected to the themes of your course, essential oils, incense, semi-precious stones, notepads, accessories, ready-to-wear clothes of the season, and even chocolate!
Sited on the lower side of the estate, in a wild and isolated area, the spiritual labyrinth is an exact replica of the labyrinth of Chartres Cathedral. It is an invitation to live through a meditative experience via a highly personal journey.
A reading area is at your disposal: books in French and English, magazines to read on site or in your room. DVDs are also available to borrow on request from the reception.
Do you want to try a particular tea flavour? Or savour a great expresso? On the central square of the Hameau, you will find tables set up so that you can enjoy a break during the day.
This tributary of the River Hérault is a little stream that you can reach from the Hameau via a forest path (30 minutes to go down, 45 minutes for the return). It’s a chance to have a walk, a swim (in nature) and a whole lot of freshness when the weather is hot.
Open six days a week in July and August, the bar is a convivial place encouraging encounters and exchanges between all the course participants at the Hameau. It can be opened during the year on request. Drinks at the bar are not included in the full pension price.
A piano, guitar, djembes and didgeridoos are at your disposal: don’t hesitate to share your musical talents during your stay (only until 11 p.m. because the music room is below the bedrooms).
In the region they are called drailles, former pastoral roads that led to the green pastures of the Cévennes plateaux. Many drailles still exist around the Hameau, as if inviting you for a walk, and are shaded from the sun by vegetation.
A special place in winter but also in late autumn and early spring; a fire will be always be ready for you when it’s cold outside. During the day and in the evening it’s great to relax on the sofas and daydream or take part in the often lively discussions.
Another area of relaxation and conviviality can be found in this small living room. Board games and cards are available here or from the reception.
The Hameau regularly exhibits the works of artists (painters, sculptors, etc.) for our guests’ pleasure. If you would like to exhibit, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thanks to its elevated location, the Hameau has an ideal position for observing the stars. Light pollution is very low, the sky is often clear and at all seasons the spectacle is superb.
Every Thursday evening, in July and August, the Hameau organises a big evening for dancing open to all. And if you want to provide your own music, you can bring your iPod… while respecting the closing time, of course.
